Partner Marília Nascimento Minicucci was interviewed by journalist Fábio Turci, from CNBC, to talk about the national campaign Janeiro Branco, related to mental and emotional health, answering questions about its implications at work and legal consequences.
During the conversation, Marília highlighted what companies can do to fulfill their legal obligation to ensure the physical and psychological health of their workers, emphasizing that this is not only a matter of social responsibility but also of corporate sustainability.
She stressed that failures to protect the emotional well-being of employees can result in convictions, both individually and collectively, including compensation for moral and material damages.
Practices such as isolating a specific employee, setting unattainable goals, and imposing excessive punishments are examples of what should be avoided and which can negatively impact employees' mental health.
"It's important that companies run awareness campaigns, provide best practice training for managers, and fully understand what harassment is, so they can treat employees in the best possible way and identify cases that deserve attention and protection," says Marília.
